ABOUT ME

I grew up in the greater Seattle area before attending Western Washington University, where I graduated with a BA in news/editorial journalism and gained my initial experience writing stories in a variety of styles and topics while learning to communicate complex information effectively and with accuracy.

My initial writing experience includes work as a reporter and copy editor at three publications at Western Washington University. My further experience includes work as editorial intern for Seattle Met Magazine and as a food writer for a recipe development company. 

My hobbies and interests aside from writing includes cooking, gardening, acrylic painting and colored penciling, candle-making,  jigsaw puzzles, reading, movies, and ice hockey.
